Tracey Viney, water industry regulator and reservoir project expert, is giving a Zoom presentation tonight, Tuesday 19th November, at 7pm.
She’ll be talking about ‘Effluent Recycling Concerns and a Better Way Forward’ and how to respond to the current DEFRA Consultation.
Southern Water is relying on a ‘recycled’ version of its old, previously rejected Plan and is:
* Only proposing to reduce leakage from 19% to 10% * Selecting energy and carbon-hungry effluent recycling solution for this area * Proposing to tanker water from Norway, which is not sustainable * Neglecting cheaper, more sustainable rainfall storage solutions.
