The Wilding Project at the top of the Recreation Ground

Dear Residents,
There is a small wilding project at the top of the recreation ground where members of the RCA and Gardening Club have worked together to plant some native hedgerow shrubs and two apple trees. We have let the grass grow longer and we are growing yellow rattle flowers in part of the area: they are looking pretty right now and will also help to weaken the grass and so encourage more wild flowers to grow.
Do go up and have a look at our wilding area.
We would like this to be more of a community project and it would be great if more residents would like to get involved and share ideas as to how best to develop this area.
Just an hour or two occasionally to be part of our watering rota would be a huge help.
Please contact Chris, Fiona or me if you’re able to help.
Thanks,
