out for Public Consultation.
All the issues are fully outlined on Water Matters on this hyperlink.

I strongly urge you to read this document and the links within this document.
The plan makes provision for delivery of three effluent recycling schemes by 2035, including the Hampshire scheme to use the Havant Thicket Reservoir as an environmental buffer lake, and put the recycling plant on the landfill site alongside Langstone Harbour at Broadmarsh. If there are no objections and the plan is approved by DEFRA, then the need for effluent recycling will be accepted at a national level, and Southern Water can go ahead and implement these plans.
The consultation has a deadline of the 4th December, 2024.
Only DEFRA can stop this plan going ahead. An email response can be sent straight to DEFRA, setting out your objection and concerns should you have any. You do not need to complete the Southern Water questionnaire.
Details of how to respond to DEFRA can be found at:
havantmatters.org/water/have-your-say/
You may wish to copy your response to your MP so that they are aware of you views to the Southern Water’s plan.
Damian Hinds is the Constituency MP for Rowlands Castle and his email address is damian.hinds.mp@parliament.uk<mailto:damian.hinds.mp@parliament.uk>
The vast volume of consultation reports can be intimidating and over whelming , so in addition to the previous information available on the ‘key concerns’ page with respect to effluent recycling, on the website there is also published a summary of 40 concerns about the latest revised water resources plan, to help you pin-point key information of concern, which you can consider including in your response to DEFRA.
