“Pickle ball” Thursday 30th November 6:30pm Parish Hall

Anyone for Pickleball?
With the winter months looming, dark evenings and wet weather what better way to spend your evening than playing “pickleball” ……. A mixture of short tennis, badminton and table tennis; it is a fun game that keeps you active, social, fit and healthy, and we can play it in our local Parish Hall!
This Thursday, 30th November, at 6:30pm, please come along to a ‘FREE DEMONSTRATION’ and ‘have-a go’ at one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Put on by our local Rowlands Castle Tennis Club, you can watch pickleball being played, learn the rules and then have a chance to “have a go”. There will be rackets available to try out and purchase if you think this could be the sport for you.
We are extremely grateful to The Hampshire Pickleball rep who is coming along to answer any questions you may have on this fun new sport. At the start of the evening a demo game will be played between some national pickleball players along with our local coach Katie Rowley and after that there will be plenty of time for you to have-a-go yourself. (Rackets and balls will be provided, so you just need to come in suitable indoor sport clothing and trainers if you would like to have a go)
Following on form the Demo evening, Rowlands Castle Tennis Club will be running a weekly Pickleball Club between 6pm-7.30pm on Thursday evenings during the winter months.
If you are new to the village, or just want to find out more about pickleball or the tennis club please DO come along at 6.30PM on THURSDAY 30 NOVEMBER.
Please note that from Thursday 7 December onwards if you would like to to join the weekly pickleball club, for insurance purposes membership of the tennis club will be required. We have 3 all weather courts in the recreation ground; an adult and junior coaching programme as well as social mix in tennis, fun tournaments, competitive Ladies, Mens and Mixed team tennis in our local leagues and an on-line booking facility to play on the courts. We have junior, adult or family memberships, please visit our website rowlandscastletennisclub.org <rowlandscastletennisclub.org/> to learn more about our local club. _______________________________________________ Grapevine mailing list: info@rowlandscastle.com
