Dear Grapevine Reader
I have just learned that BT Openreach are closing Redhill Rd today (Tues) and tomorrow (Wed) to undertake repairs to the 4 manholes covers in the road.
This work is being done under ’emergency measures’ and BT Openreach has not given any prior notification of these works, either to residents or the Parish Office, nor has it apparently informed the local bus company.
Redhill Rd will be closed from c 9.30am to c 4.00pm each day, unless the work is completed sooner. The Road is closed from the junction of Castle Rd up to the junction with Hillbrow Close. Castle Rd is still accessible, as is The Drift via College Close.
We are also aware of the BT Openreach works planned in the village centre tomorrow (Wed) though what effect this will have on local traffic remains to be seen!
