The next Rowlands Castle u3a Monthly meeting will take place as usual in the Parish Hall at 2.00 pm on Monday 18th November. Our speaker will be Jeff Evans with his talk entitled ‘Rock and Pop on the Box’.

Jeff is a free lance journalist, television historian and author of Rock and Pop on British TV. His fully illustrated talk will tell the fascinating story of 60 years of music on television beginning in the 1950’s with shows such as Six-Five Special, and Oh Boy, continuing through the decades with programmes including Juke Box Jury, Thank Your Lucky Stars, Ready Steady Go and the Old Grey Whistle Test as well as a number of programmes you may have just forgotten.

Lots of warm memories and more than a few surprises.
