The next u3a Monthly meeting will be held as usual in the Parish Hall at 2.00 pm on Monday 18th March. Our speaker will be Jenny Mallin with her talk entitled Life Behind the Scenes at the BBC Television Centre. A fascinating insight into how production life was in the seventies through the speakers real life experiences when the BBC was the main television broadcaster with just one other channel, ITV. Jennys seven year career offers a unique insight into the workings of each department, we discover how the news programme was put together and includes her time on the Generation Game as a contestant researcher and Game Deviser to her days on Mastermind and Top of the Pops.
Hoping to see all members on the day visitors welcome for a £2 fee at the door.
