Dear RC Residents
As some of you may already know, after 30 years of dedicated service Barbara Openshaw has recently retired as Flag Master/Mistress for the flag-pole on The Green, Rowlands Castle. She has ‘passed the baton’ over to a small Flag Group of experienced volunteers, who will arrange the flying of flags in future, co-ordinated by Ian Moore.
The Parish Council will be celebrating Barbara’s dedication to the role by gathering around the Flag Pole at 6.45pm on Monday 2nd September. This will be an opportunity to thank her for her unstinting service to the community over many years.
Any residents wishing to join the celebrations would be most welcome.
