Dear Parishoners! The Bishop of Portsmouth is shortly to hold a licensing service to install Rev Clare Challis as the new Priest-in-charge of St John the Baptist church and the parish of Rowlands Castle.
The service is 6pm Monday February 24th in the church, followed by refreshments. You are all very welcome – as you are at any of our services!
There will be a slot during the service for community leaders to welcome Clare. Gill Whatley will be sending out some personal invitations but if you would like to represent some village organisation or group and participate in this welcome, please let Gill or myself know. It is quite possible we may overlook someone as we are such an active busy village, and we may not have all the up to date contact details.
Clare and her husband Andrew hope to be moving into the Rectory in College Close soon, so do say hello when you meet them.
