Heritage Open Days

The RC History and Heritage group are taking part in this year’s national Heritage Open Days event on the weekend of 7th and 8th September, so please come along and learn more about the history of our lovely village. It’s a FREE event with exhibitions in the Church on the Green between 12pm to 3pm each day: Heritage Vintage Model – depicting the village as it was in 1944 Exhibition – Discover the role of the village in the lead up to the D-Day invasion. Pictorial History of the village – How did it change from 1840 through 1944 to today? Discover the Castle – Where is it? Find out the answer to the question we have all asked.
