Rowlands Castle Youth Group
We opened our first youth group in Rowlands Castle, East Hampshire back in September 2022.
A huge thanks to parents who have remained with us and continued to support the group. I am starting to understand that there is no perfect time to start a group. I managed to do it during elections and my final year at university. It’s been tough, but glad we continued.
Piloting a project, or conducting a pilot study, is when a group tests a small-scale version of a project to understand how it may perform at full scale. Implementing one can help you learn about a project’s costs, duration, feasibility, and unexpected changes in advance. Pilot projects typically offer the confidence that a project plan is suitable for reaching its goals.
Improved Leadership Improved Self Confidence Improved Self Esteem Teamwork
There is a need in Rowlands Castle and surrounding areas and we look forward to coming back in September.
We are closed during the summer holidays and our last session for both groups are below.
Tuesday 18th July Thursday 21st July
I have applied for funding to keep the youth group going for the next 3 years and we find out in August, if we have been successful. I will keep you all updated on progress.
I have set up a new Facebook page, ready for September so parents/ residents can see what we are doing. I will also attempt my first social impact report (during summer holidays) which I will share on our website/ social media, once completed.
We are now out of the pilot project stage, and I’m happy to say, the youth group is staying. We will also look at funding a youth worker in the very near future.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank our supporters who have donated money to cover our start up costs during 2022
