We understand that repairs to the carriageway will take place in the village centre tomorrow, which will involve temporary two-way traffic lights and the closure of 7 parking bays outside Londis Stores and Home Hardware. Hampshire Highways have been unable to specify what time they will begin, or how long it will take, because the work is carried out by contractors, but if you are able to avoid bringing your car into the village centre tomorrow it may be wise! All shops and amenities will be open for business as usual.
The Parish Council was not notified of these scheduled works and only found out from reading the sign affixed to our Noticeboard earlier this week.
