Good afternoon,
Please see following information from our friends at Horndean Parish Council regarding a potential new Aldi store in Horndean.
An Aldi on the Havant Road? Aldi is preparing a planning application for submission to East Hampshire District Council, for a new food store in Horndean. The new store would be built on land owned by Keydell Nurseries, and which is now said to be surplus to their requirements (plan below).
They are about to launch a very brief public consultation on their plans, running from Monday 11th until Sunday 24th November. We would urge residents to get involved in this consultation, so that views are fully represented. Information is now available on their project website, which will be updated with a virtual exhibition on 11th November – aldiconsultation.co.uk/horndean/ .
There will also be a public exhibition event on Wednesday 13th November, 4.30-7.30pm, in the foyer of Barton Hall at Horndean Technology College.
We have invited Aldi and their representatives to attend a Parish Council meeting to discuss their proposals, with us and with residents, and will publicise the date, or dates, as soon as they are known – Horndean Parish Council Facebook Page
