Rowlands Castle Living Advent Trail 2023

Rowlands Castle Living Advent Trail 2023
We are looking for volunteers to decorate their windows this Christmas. A living Advent Calendar is where 24 windows throughout the village are decorated & illuminated with festive scenes. One window is ‘opened’ each day from 1st December until Christmas Eve and remains illuminated at night from 5-9pm until New Year’s Day.
This year’s living advent trail is raising money for the local charity CASK Research Foundation and is being called Sparkles for Sarah, after six year old Sarah in the village who suffers from CASK and loves sparkly lights. Participating households can choose the theme of their window, however it is important to clearly include the number of your day in the design of your window. The window does not have to be religious but should have a festive feel. It needs to be clearly and safely visible from a pavement/footpath. It can be an upstairs window and needs to be well-lit – the more colourful and bright the better!
In order to plan a map of the windows we need to fill all 24 dates by 24th November. If you’d like to join in the festivities please email laura@caskresearch.org giving your name, email address and address or phone or text Laura on 07792136772.
For more information and ideas for your window check out the Facebook page “Rowlands Castle Sparkles for Sarah”
We look forward to hearing from you.
Laura and the CASK Village Committee Special thanks to Matt and Lorna Hancock for lending this annual village event to CASK.
