Fwd: Activities at St John’s Church!

MOTHERING SUNDAY SERVICE 10 am MARCH 30th This Sunday is Mothering Sunday! We would be delighted if you could join us to worship, with or without a mother figure… but the mothers attending are likely to be blessed with a small posy in recognition of their special rôle in our lives. The historians tell us Mothering Sunday dates from girls in Service being granted a day off to visit their Mother church, but the concept of Mothers’ Day has broadened with time. The service will be led by Rev Clare Challis, Priest in Charge.
LITTLE FISHES – An extra day! This Toddler group meets in term time on Mondays, 9-11 am. But because Easter is so late this year, it would have meant 3 Mondays in a row without meeting. By popular demand, we have therefore agreed to open Little Fishes on APRIL 7th, instead on finishing the term Monday 31st, despite it being the school holidays. Older children are also welcome if that helps! New families always welcome too. We have a very friendly group, with a mixture of free play and led bits… story time, snacking, crafts and singing. From bumps and babies, to pre schoolers counting the months until school entry, with mums, dads, grandparents, foster parents, and childminders. A great place to make new friends if you’re new to the village or to parenting.
